NOTICE FOR CUSTOMERS (6th Sep)

The Thai government declared "state of emergency" on the 2nd of September. However, this was a bit exaggerating political performance and issued by the politicians of the ruling government to protect themselves.

The things here are quite normal and far from "emergency". This nonsense "state of emergency" will be lifted in several days.

All the tourist spots are safe and open and most transportation (airlines, buses, and railways) are operating as usual.

There is no serious danger, threat, or inconvenience for foreign tourists.

However, Sukhumvit On Nut Guesthouse advises our guests that they should:

1. NOT to approach the central government area, where anti-government groups are gathering, and its vicinity areas.
2. Arrive at the bus/train stations well in advance before the scheduled departure time to avoid unexpected delay or suspension of service, which is quite unlikely, though.
3. Keep away from demonstrators, when you see them on the street.

On Nut is one of the safest area in Bangkok, and is also well far from the central government area, so you do not need to worry about the safety and security during your stay at our guesthouse.

Several guests *evacuated* from the guesthouses of Khao San Road to our place, as Khao San is close to the central government area. However, Khao San will also be back to the normal state soon after the declaration is canceled.
